Linn H. Schultz of Fredericksburg, formerly of Lost Nation, Iowa, passed to his heavenly home on January 25, 2018, at the age of 77. He was born on September 26, 1940, in Davenport, Iowa, the first son of Ruth L. and Howard H. Schultz.
Linn graduated from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, in 1964, with a degree in Animal Science and Vocational Agriculture. He served in the U.S. Army from 1964 -1966 and served in the Army Reserve in Iowa from 1970 - 1974.

Linn taught Vocational Agriculture from 1966 - 1976. When his Dad retired from farming, Linn jumped at the opportunity to actually "do" what he had been teaching—he farmed the home farm which had been a his goal since college. He loved farming and had a stock cow herd of around 90 cows.

Along with farming, Linn took over his father-in-law's Real Estate business as broker. He always enjoyed meeting new people and helping them buy or sell their homes or businesses. He also opened a seed and farm chemical supply business which he ran for many years.

Linn enjoyed traveling, camping, antiquing, fishing, and working with youth, mentoring them in their individual pursuits. He enjoyed meeting new people and was always ready to lend a helping hand.

Linn is survived by his wife of 54 years, Leslie J. Schultz of Fredericksburg; daughters, Robin L. Schultz of Louisville, KY and Sandy S. Schultz, of Fredericksburg; and his brother, Wayne L. Schultz of Parker, Colorado. His parents preceded him in death.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 3, at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Presbyterian Church in Fredericksburg. Memorial gifts may be made to Lewy Body Dementia Association or to Memorial Presbyterian Church.
