Margaret Louise Priess of Fredericksburg passed away on Monday April 22, 2024 at the age of 85. She was born to Edmund and Hedwig Ahrens Friedrich in Gillespie County. She married Edgar Priess Jr. on October 27, 1956 in Bethany Lutheran Church in Fredericksburg.

She is survived by her children Gwen Arhelger and husband Peter of Houston, Jason Priess and wife Rebecca of Fredericksburg, Sister Helen Feller and husband Eldon Ray; 3 grandchildren Benjamin Arhelger, David Arhelger and Aymee Arhelger; 4 great grandchildren Avery Rosado, Kinley Elmore, Addley Elmore and Ashmann Elmore.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Edgar Priess Jr, parents Edmund and Hedwig Friedrich, siblings Emil Friedrich, Darlene Frisch, Mary Bachmayer and Edmund Friedrich Jr, and a grandson Peter Arhelger Jr.

A memorial visitation will take place on Wednesday May 1, 2024 from 4:00p.m. – 7:00p.m. in the Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

A memorial service will take place on Thursday May 2, 2024 in Zion Lutheran Church at 10:30 a.m. followed by a luncheon. Interment of ashes will take place at 1:30p.m. in the Friedrich Cemetery.

Honorary Pallbearers are; Pat Duecker, Gordon Feller, Jimmy Frisch, Harold Frisch, Mike Klein, Ronnie Kunz, Mark Nelson, Jimmy Priess, Ricky Priess, Charlie Ridley and Glen A. Priess.

Memorial contributions may be made to Pecan Creek School House, Friedrich Cemetery, Votive Hospice, Zion Lutheran Church or the charity of one's choice.
