Obituary

Margaret Sattler passed away Thursday, May 3 rd , at the age of 102.

Margaret is survived by her son, Glenn Sattler & wife LeMae of Ponca, AR; 6 grandchildren: Ricky Sattler & wife Joyce, Steve Sattler & wife Chalona, Shannon Kramer & husband Phil, Shawn Sattler & wife Shelly, Tamra Cone & husband Gary, Glendon Sattler & wife Sherry; 17 greatgrandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; sister, Gertrude Land of Fredericksburg & 2 daughters-in-law, Barbara Sattler of Berryville, AR & Sheila Kale of Fredericksburg. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert & Anna Witkohl Schuch, her husband of 60 years, Hugo Sattler; 2 sons, Quincy & Tommy Sattler; brothers Chester, Max, Arnold, Lawrence, Clarence & Rudi Schuch & brother-in-law, Harvey Land.

Margaret was born January 21, 1916. She was raised on a farm & ranch where both German & English were spoken & which she also taught her children. She attended school at Cherry Mountain & always spoke of how much she enjoyed her classmates. Margaret asked Jesus into her heart at the age of 17 &was always committed to her Lord. She was always praying for her family & friends & rest assured if she ever met you she prayed for you!

She met her husband Hugo at church. They made their home on a ranch in Doss. She was a homemaker who worked diligently on the ranch & if she were not helping Hugo or her sons she was cooking, cleaning, milking, gathering eggs, gardening & enjoying her neighbors. She was also a caregiver, helping several of the elderly in their later years. Her grandchildren enjoyed playing dominoes with her, drinking her tea & eating her homemade bread & sausage,

The last 8 years of her life were spent with Glenn & LeMae. She always kept up with how much rain they were getting in Texas & talking on the phone with her dear Texas friends.
She passed away at her home away from home in Boxley, AR.

Visitation for Margaret Sattler will be 2-4 p.m., Sunday, May 6th & 8 a.m.-2 p.m., Monday, May 7 th , in Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Monday, May 7 th , in the chapel of Fredericksburg Funeral Home, with Dr. Al Crane, Dr. Duane Weis & Brother Ken Moore officiating.

Nathan Allbritton, Gary Cone, Shawn Sattler, Glendon Sattler, Kurt Geistweidt & Royce Herbort will serve as pallbearers.

Graveside services will follow in the Sattler Cemetery.
