Marialyce Dittmar of Fredericksburg passed away on November20, 2017 at the age of 88. She was born in McAllen TX to Barton and Mary Edd Miller Smith on February 19, 1929. She earned her Bachelors of Science degree and her Masters from the University of Texas. On June 25, 1955 she married Albert Douglas Dittmar. She worked as a Home Demonstration Agent in Coleman County, and in Gillespie County, and as a Home Economics teacher in Solado TX and Fredericksburg TX. She taught at FHS from 1967 to 1986. She has been a member of Bethany Lutheran Church since 1956 and served as a Sunday school teacher and was active in the Women of the Church.

Marialyce is survived by her sons; Dale Dittmar and wife Vicky of Fredericksburg, Dwight Dittmar and wife Dura of Friendswood, TX, 3 grandchildren Andrew Dittmar, Brandon Dittmar, and Deidra Dittmar.

She is preceded in death by her parents Barton and Mary Smith, her husband Albert Douglas Dittmar.

A memorial visitation will take place on December 2, 2017 from 4:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. in the Fredericksburg Funeral Home.
