Obituary

Marjorie Anne Bennack died March 7, 2025 at the age of 95.

Marjorie lived in Goliad and Pleasanton as a child, graduating from Pleasanton High School.  She received an undergraduate degree from Trinity University and a masters degree from Texas A&I. She married Marvin (Nick) Bennack in 1951 and in 1958 moved to Raymondville, Tx, where he practiced dentistry.  She was a teacher for 35 years, 29 of them in Raymondville. The Bennacks moved to Fredericksburg in 1995 and were active in the Fredericksburg United Methodist Church, The Golden Hub, the Pedernales Creative Arts Alliance, and Sister City Verein. She was a member of the Retired Teachers' Association, the Friends of the Library, the German Club, and was a former member of the Fredericksburg Chorale. She also belonged to the Daughters of the Republic of Texas.

She is survived by a daughter, Deborah Etter of San Antonio, her sons, Lee Bennack of San Antonio and Barton Bennack of Rowlett, a Daughter-in-Law, Mayela, three grandchildren, Justin, Jacob, and Maggie, one great-grandson, Corbin, and numerous nephews and nieces.

Memorials may be made to the Golden Hub Center, the Fredericksburg United Methodist Church, or a charity of one's choice.

A Celebration of her life will take place at 2:00p.m. on April 5, 2025 in the Fredericksburg United Methodist Church.
