Mrs. Clifton of Fredericksburg passed away in the Windcrest Nursing Home in Fredericksburg on Tuesday July 10, 2018 at the age of 104.

She was born on July 4, 1914 to George and Letta Gibson in Walland Tennessee. The Gibson family moved to Tallant OK in the late 1920's. Mr. Gibson worked for City Service Gas Co. It was there that Marjorie met Forest Clifton. They were married on May 30, 1932 in Barnsdall OK.

They transferred with National Gas Pipeline Co to various locations such as Higgins TX, Harper, and Truro Iowa, and Centralia Illinois. After 43 years of service they retired to Borger TX. In 1999 they moved to Fredericksburg to be near their son Gary Clifton and his wife Rachel.

Marjorie enjoyed sports such as croquet, basketball, bowling and golf.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband Forest and granddaughter Diana Clifton.

She is survived by two sons and their spouses Gary and Rachel Clifton of Fredericksburg, Nile and Emily Clifton of Oklahoma City OK. Three grandchildren Craig and Regina Clifton of Mustang OK, LTC Nile Lee and Kendra Clifton of Huntsville AL, and Emily Sue Van Ausdal of Crestview FL., four great grandchildren Molly Clifton Wilson and husband Travis Of Oklahoma City OK, Caden Clifton of Huntsville AL, Line Juel-Peterson of San Antonio TX,and Andrew Van Ausdal of FL.

The family will receive guest from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 13, 2018 in the  Family Chapel of the Greenwood Cemetery.
Graveside services will take place Friday, July 13, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. int the Family Chapel at Greenwood Cemetery with pastor Casey Zesch presiding.
