Mark Alan Kellar, 66, of Fredericksburg, formerly of Thorndale, TX and Canon City, CO died peacefully at home surrounded by family on Friday August 7, 2020.

Mark was born on August 9, 1953 in Cherry Point, North Carolina to Herbert and Hazel (Kimball) Kellar. He spent his working life caring for others. He first began as a Paramedic and subsequently as a Respiratory Therapist and Registered Nurse. The latter years of his career he served as Health Services Administrator to the Federal Bureau of Prisons and the VA in Denver, CO.

He was preceded in death by his mother Hazel Kellar.

He is survived by his wife, Rita Schirk Henke, sister Vera Kellar of Colorado Springs, CO and his 3 children and their spouses, Jennifer (Less) Davenport, Courtney (Eric) Paulsen, and Jared (Laurie) Kellar. He is also sUIVived by 12 grandchildren, his father Herbert Lyle Kellar and his wife, Betty and numerous other extended family and friends.

Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Fredericksburg Funeral Home. A private celebration of his life will be planned at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, the American Red Cross or to the charity of one's choice.
