Marolyn Voss Corbin "Nana" passed on peacefully in her sleep on Friday, March 23 ^rd , 2019 in Fredricksburg, Texas. Born on July 27 ^th 1940 in Amarillo, Texas to Weldon and Vera Voss.  Marolyn was a devout Christian, a Navy veteran, a hard-working mother, and a loyal and loving friend.  Marolyn lived her life in the service of others. She studied at The University of North Texas before joining the United States Navy.  Marolyn was a true public servant and spent her career working for The City of Waco; retiring from McLennan County Appraisal District in 2001.

Marolyn was a lover of the written word and always had her nose in a book. She loved to spend time with her grandsons, her family and friends, play dominos, shop and volunteer.

In the community of Waco, Marolyn's servant's heart led her to actively volunteer with First Baptist Church, Providence Hospital, and the Veteran's Associations along with numerous other organizations.  She will be remembered by her family and friends as a woman of strong faith in God with a kind and gentle soul.

Preceded in death by her parents, Weldon and Vera Voss, and her grandson, Nicholas Banfield.

Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Valerie & John Banfield, her grandson, Michael Banfield, her two sisters, Martha Voss Byrd and Elaine Voss Wright, and her half-sister, Billie Comer.

Funeral services for Marolyn Voss Corbin will be held on April 6th at 11:00  at First Baptist Church in Waco, Texas.

Marolyn's family requests in lieu of flower that memorial contributions be made to the following organizations that were close to Marolyn's heart.
