Mrs. Martha Holmes passed away Thursday, September 14th, at the age of 92.
Martha is survived by her children: Bill Holmes of Harper, Duane Holmes & wife Barbara of Harper, Barbara Walter & husband Tom of Fredericksburg, Carolyn Rodgers of Nashville TN, Patricia Smith of San Angelo, Stephen Homes of Harper; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren & 2 sisters: Theresa Hartmann of Harper & Maggie Litzinger of San Antonio.

Martha was born February 14, 1925, in Harper, TX, to Frank & Alma Keller Rischner. She married Darrell Holmes, July 8, 1944, in Fredericksburg. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, daughter, Beverly Holmes & 2 children in infancy.

Visitation for Martha Holmes will be 5-7 p.m., Monday, September 18th, in Fredericksburg Funeral home & 9-10 a.m., Tuesday, September 19th, in St. Anthony Catholic Church of Harper.
A Mass of Resurrection will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, September 19th, in St. Anthony Catholic Church.
Graveside services will follow in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery.
A vigil service will be held 6 p.m., Monday, September 18th, in the chapel of Fredericksburg Funeral home, with Deacon Curtis Klein officiating.
Serving as pallbearers are her grandsons: David Holmes, Tim Holmes, Chad Holmes, Michael Pape, Kyle Pape, Nathan Walter & Koby Smith.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are her great grandsons: Layne Holmes, Rhody Holmes, Tanner Holmes, Gunner Holmes, Grayson Lock & Peyton Holmes.
