Marvelene Alois Maenius of Albert passed away on Friday January 14, 2022 at the age of 91. She was born in Fredericksburg on June 12, 1930 to Reinhard and Else Feller Behrends. On January 23, 1949 she married Alvin J. Maenius Jr. She was a Postmaster, a Rancher , Small Business Owner  a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Marvelene is survived by her son Nelson Maenius and wife Nancy of Fredericksburg; her daughter Diana Wolfshohl and husband Kenneth of Albert; three grandchildren, Jennifer Najera of Nashville, TN; Jessica Surma and husband Greg of Albert, and Jordaun Maenius and wife Leah of Anchorage, Alaska . She is also survived by six great grandchildren: Jenna Najera, Faith Najera, Wyatt Surma, Sadie Maenius, Emily Surma, and Cora Maenius; one sister and brother-in-law: Carolyn and  Erwin Weiershausen of San Angelo and one sister-in-law Pat Maenius. She is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Maenius Jr.; her parents Reinhard and Else Behrends; brother and sister-in-law, LeeRoy and Darlene Behrends; sister, Lorene; brothers-in law and sisters-in-law: Martin and Irene Maenius, Werner and Edna Maenius, George and Helen Maenius, Clifton and Helen Maenius, Guenther and Vernell Maenius .

Visitation will be Tuesday January 18, 2022 from 4:00p.m. – 6:00p.m. in the Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be 11:00a.m. Wednesday January 19, 2022 in Trinity Lutheran Church in Stonewall with Pastor Ryan Meyer officiating.  Interment will follow in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Stonewall VFD or the charity of your choice.

Pallbearers will be David Behrends, Dennis Behrends, Douglas Behrends, Brian Maenius, Greg Surma, Galen Weierhausen.
