Mary Elizabeth Cassidy passed away Tuesday, August 21 ^st , at the age of 95.

Mary was born April 25, 1923, in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of Helen Homes and Joel J. Homes. She was a 1945 graduate of Abington Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Abington, PA. She worked for several years in the Canal Zone shortly after graduation from nursing school. She moved to Texas and worked for many years as a Registered Nurse in Veterans Administration Hospital in Kerrville, TX, where she met her husband, James T. Cassidy. They were married in 1978. She was a member, sang in the choir and was the choir secretary at Memorial Presbyterian Church until her sight deteriorated. She was a nurse volunteer at the Good Samaritan Center for years and was awarded the Volunteer of the Year.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents and husband James. Survivors include one cousin, Eleanor Kline and one niece, Martha Miller, both from Katy, TX.

Graveside services will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 31 ^st , in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Kerrville.
