Melissa Beth Hughes of Harper passed away on Wednesday January 15, 2020.

Melissa was born on June 26, 1971 in Fullerton California to George Anthony Rector and Judith Ann Smith. She married Charles Alan Hughes on February 16, 2002 in Fredericksburg TX. Melissa was an active and cherished member of Bridge Church in Fredericksburg.

She is survived by her husband Charles "Chuck "Alan Hughes her son Seth Alan Hughes, her parents Judith Ann Smith and George Anthony Rector, sister Allison Rector.

Melissa is preceded in death by her in-laws Tom and Joyce Hughes.

A celebration of life will take place on January 25, 2020 at 11:00a.m. in the Bridge Church Fredericksburg.
