Melvin (Buddy) Joseph  Grobe of Fredericksburg passed away on Saturday August 29 at the age 84. He was born on May 2, 1936 in Gillespie County to Eddie and Lillie Fiedler Grobe. On September 26, 1959 he married Alice (Allie) Mueller in Fredericksburg. Mr. Grobe had a road construction business.

He is survived by his children Karen Beyer and husband Dwayne of Fredericksburg; Kenneth Grobe of Fredericksburg, Barbara Feller and husband Herbie of Fredericksburg; Bruce Grobe of Loyal Valley; Wade Grobe and companion Sharlotte Keith; sisters Patsy Newman of San Antonio, Betty Wolverton and husband Pete of San Antonio, Alice Ledbetter and husband Tom of Waco; brothers Larry Grobe and wife Carol of San Antonio, Curtis Grobe and wife Jeanne of Austin; sister-in-law Charlotte Grobe of Fredericksburg; 7 grandchildren Wendy Beyer, Jodi Kasper, Emily Beyer, Tyler Feller, Klay Feller, Kayla Feller and 1 great grandchild Kolette Beyer; and like a daughter to him Morgan Davis and husband Chris.

Mr. Grobe is preceded in death by his parents Eddie and Lillie Grobe; wife Alice Mueller Grobe; brother Dennis Grobe and sister Joyce Taylor.

Per his wishes Mr. Grobe will be cremated and a Memorial Visitation will take place from 1:00pm – 4:00pm on Saturday September 5, 2020 in the Fredericksburg Funeral Home. Please wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines. Memorials may be made to the  charity of one's choice.
