Myrtle Faye Loeffler Witt McCallum, at 94 years of age, passed away on February 4, 2023 in Fredericksburg, Texas.  Myrtle Faye was born on February 10, 1928 at her family home in the Hilda Community of Mason County, Texas, to William John and Alma Anna (Eckert) Loeffler.  She was raised in Hilda and graduated in 1945 from Mason High School in Mason, Texas.  She then attended Tarleton College.

She married Robert Addison Witt in 1953 and had three sons, Steve, Mark and Tim.  In 1967 Robert Witt passed away suddenly.  In 1971, Myrt married John McCallum with his sons Donald and Gary.  In 2000, Myrt and John moved to Fredericksburg, Texas.  In 2019, Myrt and John moved to Heritage Place Assisted Living until John passed away in August of 2022.  Myrt then moved to Morning Star where she resided until her passing.

She is survived by her sons and their spouses; Tim Witt and wife, Connie; Donald McCallum and wife, Cynthia; daughter-in-law, Karla Witt; daughter-in-law, Laurie Witt; and daughter-in-law, Pam Simmons. Grandchildren; Robert James Witt, Taylor Witt, Brian Witt, Karen Witt Hatley, Victoria McCallum Fisher, John McCallum, Crystal Latham, Jayde Witt, Kary Cataldie, Whitney Hengestebeck, and Taylor Carver; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Myrtle Faye McCallum is preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Robert Witt; husband, John McCallum; son, Stephen Witt; son, Mark Witt; son, Gary McCallum; and her brother, Bill Loeffler.

There will be a graveside service on February 9, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Lee Roy Loeffler and Michael Bell at Hilda Methodist Cemetery.   There will be time to visit after the service in the Hilda UMC Fellowship Hall.
