Our beloved mother Nancy Jane Hays Johnson passed away on September 17, 2023. Mom was born in Tulsa Oklahoma on August 9, 1934 . When she was 9 years old her family moved to Kerrville.

Mom graduated from Tivy High School in 1953. The following fall, she began working a Schreiner Bank and lived with our devoted grandmother Mrs. Dorothy M. Hays.

Mom married Nathaniel Al Johnson in January of 1959; a year later my sister Alison Jane Johnson was born and I came along in 1964. Our parents provided a loving and protective home as well as wonderful childhoods for both my sister and I.

In 1966 our family moved to Austin and lived there until 1995, when we moved to Fredericksburg.

Mom was the kindest, patient, and most giving wife and mother. She was always there for all of us.

Mom taught my sister and I the Lords Prayer, to love and trust Jesus, right from wrong and to help people or animals in need.

Mom loved Jesus Christ  our Lord and risen Savior, and I know she is in His loving care.

Mom is survived by daughters, Alison Jane Johnson and Kimberly McKay Johnson, and loving pets, Blackberry, Creamy and Lambsey.
