Obituary

Nancy Ann Nichols, nee Zink, passed away Monday, January 10 th , at the age of 71.  Nancy is survived by her husband, Mark Nichols of Fredericksburg and a sister, Patsy Eilermann of Corpus Christi.

Nancy was born February 9, 1950, in Tulsa OK, to Gary and Virginia Clymore Zink., who preceded her in death.  She was a godmother to two boys of a life long good friend.

Nancy lived in Corpus Christi for 45 years.  She graduated from Richard King High School and attended Southwest Texas State University.  She enjoyed the beach, surfing, fishing and fast cars.  She was a model and a modeling announcer for weekend shows.  Nancy was the local "Dodge Girl" featured in Corpus Christi TV ads.

She started her career in banking and later in real estate selling and moving on to the title business where she became a branch manager.   She exchanged vows with Mark Nichols September 14, 1998, after a hike up beautiful "Cougar Mountain" in Whistler, British Columbia.  Vows were exchanged by a creek amongst huge western red cedar trees, witnesses being song birds and an occasional bunny.

Nancy moved to Fredericksburg, Texas with husband Mark Nichols in 2005 and enjoyed her tenure with Hill Country Titles for years.  They built their dream home and established an ag business selling field cut Choose-n-Cut Christmas trees and grapes from their vineyard.  She was known as "The Christmas Tree Farm Lady" and the "Popcorn" Lady for the annual Willow Creek Volunteer fire department fundraiser.  Such a sweet lady, always wearing a smile.
