Patricia Gay Owen, 76, born October 4, 1948, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and selfless service. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She lived a full life filled with creative artistry that she loved to share with her family and friends. Patricia's life was a testament to her unwavering commitment to her faith, family, and community

Patricia moved to San Antonio in 1970, where she worked as a nurse and then taught at the International Bible College. She met her husband of 52 years, Dr. Courtney Lee Owen, and together they raised five outstanding children, instilling in them values of kindness, resilience, and faith. Her nurturing spirit extended to her 17 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild, whom she cherished deeply, showering them with warmth, homemade themed birthday cakes, and spiritual wisdom. Her home was a haven of love, filled with laughter, stories, children's crafts, and the comforting rhythm of morning Bible devotions she faithfully led for her children, and delicious home-cooked meals for the family every evening.

Patricia was the family's Martha Stewart. Her boundless creativity transformed every aspect of her home and life. She was a masterful cook, crafting meals that brought her family together, and an artist who expressed her heart through oil painting, cake decorating, sewing, photography, and gardening. With an impeccable eye for beauty, she adorned her home in her beloved Victorian style, setting tables with unmatched elegance that turned every gathering into a cherished memory.

Patricia's immeasurable dedication to her family shone through in her constant presence for her children and grandchildren, always finding time to guide them through their trials into adulthood and beyond. She offered her wisdom, advice, and sometimes simply sat quietly with them in love and prayer, a steadfast source of comfort and strength.

A pillar in her church community, Patricia dedicated 30 years to children's ministry. Her gentle yet joyful presence touched countless young lives through her service at children's camps, Sunday school, and various church events. She had a remarkable gift for making every child feel seen and valued, fostering their spiritual growth with compassion and creativity. When there was work to be done, you did not hear from Pat; you simply saw her doing it. As she fondly shared, "More is caught than taught."

Patricia's life will be defined by her servant's heart, always giving of herself to uplift others. Her legacy lives on in the lives she shaped and changed for the better, the faith she shared, and the love she so generously gave. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered by her husband, family, friends, and all who were blessed to be with her.

Patricia Owen is survived by: Husband:  Dr. Courtney Lee Owen, Children:  Shellayne Miller (Jason), Tiffany Stark (Ryan), Chad Owen (Jennifer), Luke Owen (Razil), and Brett Owen (Leslee). Sister:  Judy Ketterling (Rick)Grandchildren:  Austin Miller (Angela), Brooke Leal (Chris), Victoria Bernstein (Grant), Amanda Miller, Chloe Stark, Carys Stark, Charlotte Stark, Mackenzie Owen, Blaine Owen, Tyler Owen, Olivia Owen, Jonas Owen, Mathis Owen, Brett Owen Jr., Evangeline Owen, Liam Owen, Vienna Owen, and great-grandchild, Luciana Miller.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service 12p.m. Saturday, Seotember 13 at Great Oaks Fellowship, 8531 W. Loop 1604 N., San Antonio TX 78254.

Following the service, burial will take place at 3:30 p.m. in Greenwood Cemetery, 1665 N. Llano Street, Fredericksburg TX 78624
