Paul Marquart passed away Tuesday, June 23 ^rd , at the age of 90.

Paul is survived by his wife, Freda Hinds Marquart of Fredericksburg; children: Chris Marquart and wife Pam of Mason, Jonathan "Tiny" Marquart and wife Edith of Fredericksburg, Mark Marquart and wife Kathy of Fredericksburg, Kay Brannon and husband Kenny of New Braunfels, Debra Bennicker of Seguin; 13 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and sister, Elizabeth Parsons of Fredericksburg.

Paul Albert Edmond Marquart was born October 6, 1929, on the Marquart Ranch in North Kendall County, to Erwin and Christine Wilke Marquart. He attended Grape Town School 1 ^st -7 ^th grade and graduated from Fredericksburg High School in 1947. He attended Schreiner College and Texas Lutheran College. He went into the U.S. Army in 1957 and while there was in the last Army mule pack in Colorado. He married Freda Joyce Hinds August 16, 1963.

Paul was a rancher of cattle, sheep, goats and horses. In 1972 he bought a trucking company and had it until his passing.

Funeral services for Paul Marquart will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 2 ^nd , in the chapel of Fredericksburg Funeral Home, with Rev. Casey Zesch officiating. Private graveside services will follow. Due to the Covid 19 pandemic please use masks and observe social distancing.

Serving as pallbearers: R. Chris Marquart, Jonathan "Tiny" Marquart, Mark Marquart, Michaela Marquart, Shanna Marquart, Marshall Marquart, Millie Marquart and Trey Cook. Serving as honorary pallbearers: Kathy Marquart, Pam Marquart, Edith Cook, Kay and Kenny Brannon, Debra Bennicker Misty Rush, Jana Meier, Nathan Stewart, Necia Cox and Kara Bennicker.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bethany Lutheran Church, Hill Country Memorial Hospice, or the charity of one's choice.
