Ervin Ray "Roy" Hayes of Fredericksburg passed away on February 7, 2017 at the age of 80. He was born on August 13, 1936 to William Houston and Grace Caldwell Hayes in Donna TX. On January 19 1957 he married Marsha Housel in Donna TX. "Roy" was a teacher and a coach for 35 years in Texas public schools.

He is survived by his wife Marsha Housel Hayes of Fredericksburg; daughters Linda Jung and husband Arthur of Fredericksburg, Joyce Wade and husband Michael of Stevens Point WI; brother Joe Hayes of Hemet CA and 4 grandchildren 3 great grandchildren.


A memorials service for Mr. Hayes will be Saturday February 11, 2017 at 11:00a.m. in the Chapel of Fredericksburg Funeral home with Pastor Bobby Vitek officiating.
