Richard "Randy" Bills, 72, of Fredericksburg, TX, passed away on December 30, 2025, while doing what brought him the greatest joy, flying high above the Hill Country, after more than 50 years of chasing horizons.

Born in 1953 in El Paso to Richard and Mary Jane Bills, Randy grew up working on the family farm and cattle feedlot. He attended New Mexico Military Institute, and went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Animal Science Business from Texas Tech University, laying the foundation for a life rooted in hard work and passion.

In 1977, he married Sharon Singh, his devoted partner through every chapter of life. Their steady, joyful love inspired everyone around them.

Randy poured his heart into the things he cherished most: farming, aviation, animals (particularly his dogs), and time with family. A man true to his word, he could build or fix just about anything with capable hands and endless ingenuity.

Randy owned Swift Horse Water Jet, and previously managed Richard Bills Farms and Bills and Ellis Feedlot. He proudly served on the board of directors for Fabens Gin, Southwest Irrigated Growers, and El Paso Valley Cotton Association. He was president of Fabens Flyers and a member of Pedernales Creative Art Alliance.

He leaves behind his wife of 48 years, Sharon; daughter Alison (Brett) Luther; son Matthew (Kara) Bills; and the three grandchildren who lit up his world, Weston, Hayden, and Cora Luther. To them, he was simply the best Pops, the one always ready to play and find the next adventure.

Randy lived fully, loved fiercely, and was a steadfast friend to many. We find comfort in the beautiful legacy he built and the countless lives he touched.

A service will be held 10:30 a.m., January 10, 2026 at Fredericksburg Funeral Home, 2278 S US Hwy 87, Fredericksburg. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital or charity of one's choice.
