Obituary

Robert Edgar Fisher of Bend, Oregon, passed away suddenly on July 1, 2026. Bob was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather (Papa), and great-grandfather. His life was anchored and shaped by his deep love for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

He spent many years providing for his family by working in paint sales. After decades of work for multiple paint companies, he decided to make a bold career change and became a correctional officer at 50 years of age. After a decade of service Bob retired from corrections in 2010. One of Bob's other great passions was martial arts, which he practiced for 25 years with great dedication and tenacity. Bob worked his way all the way up to a 5th degree black belt in Goju-Ryu karate and attained a black belt in Jujitsu. Bob continued to teach martial arts until 2016 when he and his wife moved from Visalia, California, to Bend, Oregon to care for her parents.

Bob is survived by his wife of 50 years, Cindy; his son, David Fisher, and his wife. Ashley; his daughter, Linda Fisher; his brother. Ron Fisher, and his wife, Debbie; his sister-in-law, Lynette Fisher; his brothers-in-law, Robert Rasmussen and his wife, Aimee. and Daniel Perrin and his wife, Melinda; his grandchildren, Eden, Elijah, and Anson Fisher; and his great grandchildren, RayLynn and Dallen Ferrumpau.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Louise Fisher; his brother, Richard Fisher; his father and mother-in-law. Richard and Evelyn Perrin; and his sister-in-law, Lyn Rasmussen.

A Celebration of Life service will be held in Bend, Oregon, on Sunday, September 13, 2026 at Joy Church, 19831 Rocking Horse Road at 4:00 p.m. A reception will follow.

A Celebration of life service in Califomia will be held in Visalia. California, on Sunday, November 1. 2026 at Veterans Memorial Center, 609 W Center Ave at 2:00 PM. A reception will follow.
