Rob Freund crossed the finish line of this life on June 12, 2020. He died peacefully at home, leaving the company of his beloved wife Kay to be wrapped in the arms of Jesus.
Robert Mathew Freund was born February 24, 1953 in Little River, Kansas, the oldest of four children born to Edgar and Belva Freund. He received his Bachelor of in Science in Technology from Kansas State College, Pittsburg, KS in 1975. He immediately entered the work force of Bowne of Houston, specializing in financial printing. He retired from that position in 1995.
Rob married the love of his life, Kay Linda Shockley, in Brenham on August 29, 1992. After his retirement, they made their home in Chappell Hill, Texas for twenty years, where he pursued fine woodworking. He had a passion for intricate scroll-saw designs and mastered that skill. They made subsequent homes in Pipe Creek, Georgetown and Fredericksburg, Texas. Rob and Kay were RV gypsies, making friends across the country as they appreciated the beauty of God's creation . Rob's kindness and sweet spirit are the consistent testimony of those who knew him.
A celebration of the life of Rob Freund will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 25, at the Live Oak Community Center, 233 Oak Ridge Dr.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson's research.
