Obituary

" Bob" Robert James Davis passed away June 25, 2025, at the age of 71.  Bob was born May 17, 1954, to Kathleen and Gould Davis, Jr.  He was the second child of 8.

Bob was one of the Three Musketeers: Dwayne, Bob, and Bubba.  The three brothers did everything together. Later, Dwayne and Bob lived in town and worked at Farmer's Grain.  Bob eventually worked in the meter shop at Central Texas Electric Cooperative for 39 years - 22 of those years as Supervisor – and retired in 2017.  While at CTEC he met the love of his life, Connie, whom he married November 20, 2004.

Bob's delight with Jazz was influenced by playing his Aunt Bea's saxophone, but he enjoyed a variety of genres.  He had a great love for music and guitars, entertaining at family gatherings, and many nights were spent on his front porch with friends, playing and singing.  He shared this great love of guitars with his wife Connie.  He also was a gun enthusiast & leather craftsman, making holsters & scabbards.  Bob had a deep love for animals, especially dogs and horses; Pinkie & Jake were two dogs that meant the world to him.

Bob is survived by his wife Connie Jo Davis and younger siblings Diane Brandenberger and husband Jim, Jim Davis and wife Jan, Elizabeth O'Hara and husband Kevin, Kathy Vaughn, brother-in-law Tony Belke, and many nieces and nephews.  Also, his parents-in-law Sam and Pat O'Bannon, and brothers-in-law Erik O'Bannon and wife Denise, and David O'Bannon & wife Leah.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Gould "Bubba" Davis III, Dwayne Davis, JoAnn Belke, sister-in-law Debra Davis, and niece Brighid O'Hara.

Bob's life was a testament to love, quiet strength, and courage.

He was loved and will be missed by many!

The family would like to thank the skilled staff of the Wound Care Clinic, Methodist Home Health Care, Sid Peterson Rehab, Sorrento Rehab, and Fredericksburg Fire and EMS Lift Assist for the care that they provided.  Bob was very appreciative.
