LTC(Ret.) Rubin Robert Wehmeyer passed away July 31st at the age of 97.

Rubin is survived by his wife, Roberta Knopp Wehmeyer; daughter Denise Ramirez and husband Michael of Pasadena; grandson Garrett Supak and sister-in-law Evelyn Wehmeyer.

Rubin was born January 10, 1928, in Gillespie County, to Edgar and Cecelia Jenschke Wehmeyer. He married Roberta Knopp June 1, 1952, in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church. He served in the U.S. Army for 26 years.

Rubin was preceded in death by his parents, son Dana Wehmeyer, brothers  Frank, Leroy and Daniel Wehmeyer and sister Frances Klein.

The family will greet friends 9-10 a.m. on Saturday, August 9th in Resurrection Lutheran Church. Funeral services will follow at 10 a.m. with Reverend Roy Dahmann officiating.

Graveside services with military honors will follow in Der Stadt Friedhof.
