Ruperto Montoya of Harper passed away on September 6, 2021 at the age of 74. He was born on March 27, 1947 to Guadalupo and Petra Ortiz Montoya in Jimenez Mexico. He married Anita Mariqa Rosas on May 5, 1968.

He is survived by his children: Ruperto Montoya & wife Teresa of Harper; Rachel Dewire & husband Tod of Ingram; Rodrigo Montoya of Harper; Joe Montoya of Georgetown; Salomon Montoya of Kerrville; Noe Montoya of Phoenix, AZ; Delia Rodriguez & husband Mayolo of Harper; Abel Montoya of Houston; John Paul Montoya of Harper; Elizabeth Montoya of Harper; brother Lucy Montoya of Mexico, sister Santos Montelongo of Del Rio;

And  9 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife Anita Montoya, his parents Guadalupo and Petra Montoya and a sister.

Visitation will take place on Saturday September 18, 2021 in the Fredericksburg Funeral Home from 8:00a.m. -11:00 a.m.

Funeral Service will take place at 11:00a.m. in the Fredericksburg Funeral Home with interment at a later date.

Memorial may be made to the Harper Library or the Charity of your choice.
