Ruth Bode of Harper passed away on Monday November 9, 2020 at the age of 101. She was born on September 13, 1919 in Gillespie County to Otto and Ida Oehler Itz. She married Clifford Bode on December 24, 1937 in Art TX.

She is survived by her son Doug Bode and wife Doylene of Harper; brother Lee Roy Itz of Austin; grandchildren Kenny Bode and wife Andrea of Harper, Lisa Sanders and husband Roy of Harper; 3 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Clifford Bode; parents Otto and Ida Itz; siblings Chester Itz, Bessie Wienecke, Norma Bernhard, Johanna Wendel.

Visitation will be Wednesday November 11, 2020 from 4:00p.m.-6:00p.m. in the Fredericksburg Funeral Home. Please practice social distancing and wear a mask.

Funeral service will take place on Thursday November 12, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. in the Fredericksburg Funeral Home with interment in the Harper Community Cemetery. Please practice social distancing and wear a mask.

Pallbearers will be; Kenny Bode, Roy Sanders, Tom Bode, Jeff Bode, Bob Yelverton, Delbert Oehler, Buzzy Parker, Tom Swearingen.

Memorials in her name may be made to Harper Community Cemetery, Harper VFD, Harper Community Park or the charity of your choice.
