Ruth Lois Mitchell of Fredericksburg passed away on December 25, 2025 at the age of 99. She was born Ruth Lois Brown in Smolan KS in 1926 to Algot Brown and Edna Hjelm Brown.

She is survived by her 2 sons Dennis Mitchell of Fredericksburg and Jym Mitchell and wife Roxanne of Fredericksburg, and 2 grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Orvil S. Mitchell; sisters Marge, Arlene, and Dorothy.

Visitation will be Friday January 2, 2026 from 9:00a.m. – 11:00a.m. in the Fredericksburg Funeral Home.  A graveside service will take place at 2:00p.m. on January 2, 2026 in the Holt Cemetery near San Saba.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Fredericksburg or to the charity of your choice.
