Obituary

Ryan James Majors ascended to Heaven on May 18, 2025, at the age of 23. He is survived by his parents, Dr. Michael and Sheri Majors; siblings Sara, Sean, and Evan Majors; grandmothers Sue Majors and Jeanette Hill; Uncle Kevin Hill; Uncle Jeff Majors and Aunt Dr. Sandra San Miguel-Majors; and first cousin Alex Majors.

Although far too brief, Ryan's life was a blessing to his family, friends, coworkers, and classmates. Funny, silly, empathetic, generous, and kind, Ryan was athletic, acrobatic, and adventurous.

Ryan's adventures started at RAF Lakenheath, England, where he and his older brother, Sean, were born. His family soon moved to Fredericksburg, Texas, where he grew up in a close-knit, loving community. He attended Mother's Day Out at First Baptist Church, St. Mary's Elementary and Middle School, and Fredericksburg High School (Class of 2020).

Along the way, he played numerous youth and school sports (most notably baseball) and was active in the FHS Rocket Program. He enjoyed swimming, riding bicycles and dirt bikes, snowboarding, playing video games, listening to classic rock, and fishing. Always a tinkerer, he became adept at automotive maintenance (and modifications!) and was his family's go-to resource for fixing anything that was broken. Developing an interest in outdoor photography, he hiked to the top of Texas and the bottom of the Grand Canyon. He was awarded a Ray Aviation Scholarship for flight training by the local Experimental Aircraft Association chapter. Ryan earned his B.A. in Anthropology with a Certificate in Geographic Information System from The University of Texas at San Antonio, Class of 2025.

All of these things added up merely serve to illustrate a life cut short far too soon. Ryan will be missed by all who knew and loved him, and his memory will be cherished forever.

A memorial service for Ryan Majors will be held 1:00pm, Friday, May 23rd, in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church.
