Sandra Lynn (LaRue) Fothergill, born October 20, 1948, passed away peacefully in Fredericksburg, Texas on August 17, 2017, surrounded by family and friends. She was born to Irene and Benson Ford LaRue in Slaton, Texas. She is survived by her husband, Loren Fothergill. They were married in 1978 in Aztec, New Mexico and shared 39 wonderful years. Sandra is also survived by their two children, Laura Grant and Alan Fothergill; her brother Martin LaRue; and Loren & Sandra's two grandchildren, Madilynn Grant and Jeffrey Grant. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Conrad LaRue.

Sandra was a caring woman who valued her friends and family above all else. She worked as a dental hygienist and a church secretary, but what she valued most was her role as a wife and mother. She will always be known for her love of family. She also enjoyed all things whimsical. She passed on her passion for crafting, reading, and helping others. Sandra was greatly loved and will be dearly missed.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on September 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Fredericksburg united Methodist Church.
