Obituary

Sandra Sue Lanford Theis passed away on July 30, 2024 at the age of 85, she was born January 30, 1939 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Nathan and Eula Lanford. She had an older sister Nancy Rogers and an older brother Gary Lanford. She attended Charles Glaebue Elementary School and graduated from Northside High School in 1956. She attended Dunham Business College in San Antonio and worked for the Department of Public Safety in San Antonio. She married Robert Theis on September 23, 1960 in the Lutheran Church. She was mother tof two children Rocky Lawernce and Myles Theis. She stayed home to care for her husband and children. When they were both in school she hired on as a teachers aide for NISD to be home when they were. When they started college she worked for TX.DOT. until Bob retired and they built a home in Fredericksburg.

She loved life, she loved her Creator, her Savior, her Holy Ghost. She loved her Church and the people in it. She loved her family her wonderful husband of 63 years her precious children and her grandpets. She loved nature and the beauty of it, the wildlife , trees, hills, clouds, flowers, sky. She loved her friends and her quiet peaceful home in Fredericksburg. She loved America and was very grateful for being born here. She loved all her family that has gone before her and looks forward to being with them again. She had wonderful memories of her children growing up and these memories and the wonderful years of being with Bob are priceless. All in all she feels she was blessed to have such a life and very grateful for all the blessings the Lord has bestowed upon her.

She is preceded in death by her parents Nathan and Eula Mae Lanford, her sister and brother-in-law Nancy Lanford Rogers and Nelson Rogers, her brother Gary Lanford. She is also preceded in death by her mother and father-in-law August and Norma Palmie Theis, sister and brother-in-law and a niece June theis McMichael, Willie McMichael, and Lee Ann McMichael, and also brother–in-law Kermit Theis.

She is survived by her husband Robert A Theis, son Myles Theis and her loving church family.

Visitation will be August 7, 2024 from 5:00p.m. – 7:00p.m. in the Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be Thursday August 8, 2024 at 11:00a.m. in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church Graveside service will be 2:00p.m. in the Boerne Cemetery in Boerne TX.

Serving as pallbearers: Brian Theis, Jacob Theis, Patrick Stahl, Glenn Weigand Jill Theis and Ron Cuddy.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hill Country Yoth Ranch or the charity of one's choice.
