Saundra Jeannine Wendel of Harper passed away on Monday May 23, 2022 at the age of 78. She was born to Herbert and Lena Boedecker Spitzer in Slaton TX on September 8, 1943. She married Carlton T. Wendel on October 12, 1963 in Lubbock TX.

Mrs. Wendel is survived by her husband Carlton Tyrus Wendel of Harper; daughters, Melissa Dillen and husband Kirk of Harper, Dierdre Wendel of Denton, grandchildren Brett and Chase Dillen.

She is preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Lena Spitzer; brothers Eudell Spitzer and Billy Spitzer.

Per her wishes she will be cremated and a service will be held at a later date.
