Sid Livingston's Obituary
Sidney Lanier Livingston was born on October 8, 1927 in Oklahoma City, OK to Vickie Mccue and Hubert R. Livingston.
After his father's job led him to Dallas, TX, Sidney attended Sunset High School where he met his sweetheart, Roberta Jane Griffith. They graduated in 1944. They were married August 30, 1947.
At age 18 he joined the Navy Air Force and was transferred to the Dallas Naval Air Station for t raining.
After the Navy, he enrolled in Southern Methodist University where he earned two degrees in 1949.
He excelled in many avenues in his lifetime including musician, lifeguard, mail carrier, Navy pilot, and business owner with his son, Jim, which led him to Fredericksburg. Sid and Jane loved the area and people so much, they built their house and st aye d.
He was most proud of his role as father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Jane last year. He is survived by his daughters, Janet Livingston of San Antonio, TX, Judy Livingston of Fredericksburg, TX and son, Jim Livingston of Lakeway, TX, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He went to Heaven on July 15, 2017 to join his beloved wife to celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary.
A memorial service will take place on Friday July 28, 2017 in the Fredericksburg Funeral Home at10:30 a.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hill Country Memorial Hospice the Good Samaritan Center, Golden Hub Meals on Wheels or the charity of one's choice.
