Stanley William Gremmer, son of Henry and Antje (Eldermann) Gremmer, was born June 22,1924 in New Holstein, Wisconsin and died February 5, 2018 in San Antonio, TX. He was married to Viola J. Meier on April 19, 1952. He was remarried after her death to Irma Ogle in 1986.

He is survived by his sons, Mark Gremmer and wife Elizabeth of San Antonio, Spencer Gremmer and wife Sandra of New Braunfels, Gregory Gremmer and wife Diana of Fredericksburg, and Bradley "Jay" Gremmer and his wife Annette of San Antonio; 11 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Stanley Gremmer was proud of the American Flag. He was a WWII Veteran who received a Victory Medal in the European-African-Middle Eastern Theater, a Ribbon w/1 silver battle star, 4 overseas service bars, a good conduct medal and a distinguished unit badge. He had many stories to tell about his experiences during the war. He loved his family and supported them in their endeavors.He was the biggest cheerleader of his family. His children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his pride and joy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 siblings: Henry, Artie,Lillian and Leona, one grandchild, and his wife Viola J.Meier Gremmer, and his wife Irma Ogle Gremmer.

Visitation will be held at Fredericksburg Funeral Home in Fredericksburg, Texas from 3:00-5:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 10.

Visitation will also be held at 9:30 A.M., followed by the funeral service at 10:30 A.M., Monday, February 12, 2018 at Concordia Lutheran Church, 16801 Huebner Road, San Antonio, TX 78258. The service will be live streamed on the following site: http://www.concordia.cc/videostream
