Vicenta "Chenta" Gamez earned her heavenly wings in her new home in heaven. In Fredericksburg Texas at the age of 69 on December 19, 2021. Vicenta was born on July 19, 1952 to Guadalupe Ballejo and Estella Ballejo in Big Springs TX. Vicenta Gamez accomplishments in life include that of being a wonderful mother to her 3 children, mamaw to her grandchildren friend to many and "second" mother to many people. She earned in her life the following , Licensed Cosmetologist, certified Nurse Aide, Restorative Aide, Certified Home Health Aide and Activity Director. The years of providing healthcare services in every department of long-term care facilities or assisted living facilities spanned over 45 years. She was employed by Knopp Healthcare services for over 22 years. Vicenta enjoyed her time spent with children and grandchildren. She enjoyed serving at any opportunity using experiences she had in her younger years working in a serving factory. She loved music and especially the opportunities to seeing and hearing her grandchildren's performances and love for music. Vicenta always had an open door and a welcomed those in need of a meal, a listening ear, or a place to stay. Vicenta always spoke of one of her biggest memories experience with the late Laura Newton and others in their weight Watchers program and her Christian faith. Vicenta will be strongly missed but the joy by many of her standing tall and dancing in the streets of heavenwill be a comfort for them. The children of Vicenta ask to always have that listening ear for people as she did in her life. She is survived by her children James Gamez and wife Gina of Fredericksburg, Daughter Jennifer Ballejo and Roy Munoz of Brady TX, Ricky Soto and wife Monica of Eldorado TX; her mother Estella Perez and her husband Jimmie of Amherst TX; sister Juanita Yearley and husband Paul and their daughters Janie of Santa Rosa NM, Linda Yearley-Stephens of Alberquerque NM, brothers and sisters Steve Ballejo Stephanie Peoples and Suzanne Ballejo of Dalhart TX, Cecilia Ballejo Of Amarillo TX, Carlos Carranza of Minnesota, James of Amherst TX, Chris Gaskill of Joshua TX, Lupe Sander of Frisco TX Mark Perez of Brownsfield TX; grandchildren Daven Ballejo of Austin TX, Joriko Rubio of Fredericksburg, Kali Soto of Eldorado TX; grandchildren Dave Ballejo, Joriko Rubio, Kali Soto, Aizik Soto, Ashley Rojas; as well as numerous aunts and uncles , nieces and nephews. Vicenta is preceded in death by daughter Vicenta Gamez, father Guadalupe Ballejo, brothers Jose Ballejo and Alfredo Ballejo. Memorial contributions may be made to a hospice organization of your choice, Texas Exes, or the FHS Band Boosters, or the charity of one's choice. |
