Mr. Victor Lewis Nixon Jr. of Fredericksburg passed away on March 6, 2026, at the age of 79. He was born in Fredericksburg to Victor Lewis Sr. and Louise Enderle Nixon on November 25, 1946.

Vic grew up working the family peach and fruit orchards and graduated from Fredericksburg High School where he played football for the Battlin' Billies. He attended Sul Ross University and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration. He married Marian Kolmeier on July 14, 1968, in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church and after college they returned to Fredericksburg to start a family. A third-generation Texas peach grower, Victor managed peach orchards and worked with Nixon Surveying. Victor's award-winning peaches were recognized at the Stonewall Peach Jamboree and the Gillespie County Fair. He also helped manage the Nixon family's Y.E. Mesa Ranch located between Alpine and Big Bend National Park.

In 1973, Vic began his real estate career as a sales agent, and in 1977 he, his father, and his wife opened Nixon Real Estate. He purchased and restored the 1905 Old Central Drug Store building on Main Street for the real estate office. A few years later he became a broker and took over the business. During his 53 year real estate career, he specialized in farm and ranch, investment properties, and rural and residential development. Most recently, Nixon Real Estate announced its merger with Fore Premier Properties, where Victor was an Associate Broker. Victor was a member of the Central Hill Country Board of Realtors, the Texas Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors. Victor served as President of the Gillespie County Board of Realtors in 1982. He received a lifetime achievement award from the Central Hill Country Board of Realtors in 2017. For his long and faithful service of 40 years, Victor was honored by the National Association of Realtors as Realtor Emeritus in 2019.

Victor gave back to the community through leadership and service. He was active in youth sports leagues. He was a member of the Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce and was Past President, Outstanding Director and Boss of the Year of the Fredericksburg Jaycees. He served on the Board of Trustees of Hill Country Memorial Hospital. He was Vice President of the Nixon Family Reunion Inc, the organization that cares for the historic Squaw Creek Cemetery, near Doss, which held its 126th reunion in August 2025. He supported many causes including the Relay for Life for the American Cancer Society, St. Jude's Hospital, Mayo Clinic, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Feed the Children, Boys Town, and Cross Trails Ministries. Victor was a life member of Bethany Lutheran Church, where he served on the church council and other committees. He and Marian loved attending the contemporary services with their children, grandchildren and great grandchild.

He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing with his family, collecting Native American artifacts, and hunting in Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Kansas, Montana, Canada, and Mexico. He enjoyed entertaining his customers, family and friends with his hunting stories and showing his many trophy mounts.

Victor is survived by his wife Marian Nixon, daughters Charissa

Nixon and Lara Nixon; 5 grandchildren, Sidney Nixon, Zana Smith,

Zoe Castellano and husband Jason, Grey Rossi and Raven Kottle; a great grandchild, Brynlee Cisco; Sisters, Cristol Schoessow and husband Carl, Nina Mendez and husband Sam.

He was preceded in death by his parents Victor L. Nixon Sr. and Louise Nixon.
