Viola Elsie Baethge of Kerrville passed away on April 21, 2018 at the age of 88. She was born in Harper TX on January 30, 1930 to Adolf and Hedwig Kramer Filter. On March 1, 1947 she married Henry George Baethge in Fredericksburg. Together they raised three children.

She is survived by her three children Jeanette Fortney and her husband Dr. H.D. of San Diego, CA, Stanley Baethge of Doss TX, Debi Schwiening of San Marcos TX, sister Willa Mae Pyle of Comfort; as well as 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Henry George Baethge, brother Guenther Filter, sister Cora Wahrmund and daughter-in-law Carolyn Baethge.

Visitation will take place from 4:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. on Tuesday May 8, 2018 in the Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

A Graveside service will take place on Wednesday May 9, 2018 at 2:00p.m. in Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
