Assured in her salvation in Jesus Christ, Virginia left this world to join her Heavenly Father on January 15, 2021 surrounded at home by her family.

Virginia was born on November 27, 1941 in Fredericksburg to Clarence and Louise Crenwelge of Cherry Spring, Texas, baptized at Christ Lutheran Church in Cherry Spring and attended elementary and junior school at the two-room school house at Cherry Spring.  She graduated as Salutatorian from Llano High School. She then attended and graduated from TLC later receiving a Master's degree in education from Southwest Texas State.  She was a school teacher for 35+ years teaching in San Marcos, New Braunfels, Midland and Abilene, Texas.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Richard Crowell, her son Matthew and his wife Laura of San Antonio, and four dear granddaughters, Laney, Landry, Leyton and Laryn, her sister Clairlean Friedrich, nephew Daryl Friedrich and numerous extended family.

She was the kindest and strongest person her family has or will ever know and will be dearly missed, yet always remembered and honored by those she loved and those that loved her.  As her Savior called us to do, she fought the good fight and finished the race – setting a constant example of strength and grace through life's many challenges.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Dr. Baines and the entire team at Hill Country Memorial Hospice for their devotion and kindness to Virginia and her family.

A Graveside service will take place on Monday January 18, 2021 at 1:00p.m. in the Christ Lutheran Cemetery in Chery Spring.

Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to Christ Lutheran Church, Hill Country Memorial Hospice or charity of choice
