Virginia Mae "Scottie" Grindle passed away July 22nd at the age of 92.

Scottie is survived by her daughter Carolyn Whitten and husband Fred, sister Annabel Stein, brother Melvin Scott and wife Linda, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Scottie was born September 28, 1930, in Fredericksburg, to Otfried and Paula Weinheimer Scott. She married Carl Grindle May 13, 2004. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings Kermit Scott and wife Vernel Grona Scott, Antonette "Toni" Keating and husband Pat, Gladys Kuhlmann and husband Raymond Jr.

Scottie Grindle will be cremated and the family will greet friends 4-6 p.m., Thursday, August 3rd, in Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Endowment fund or the charity of one's choice.
