Wesley Robert Ramseier, 73, on August 8, 2026, entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, leaving behind a life marked not merely by worldly accomplishments, but by a sincere love for the Lord, a heart for people, and an unwavering desire to make Christ known.

Wes was born on February 25, 1953, in Racine, Wisconsin, to John Wesley Ramseier and Doris Marie Kennedy Ramseier. He was blessed with a sharp mind, a gentle spirit, and a genuine interest in people. Whether speaking with a lifelong friend or someone he had just met, Wes had a remarkable ability to make others feel seen, valued, and cared for. His friendships were deep and enduring, and many who entered his life eventually became family in every way that mattered.

He graduated from J. I. Case High School in Racine before earning his degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1975. He later attended Gonzaga Law School, continuing a lifelong pursuit of learning.

Wes began his professional career with Procter & Gamble, followed by a brief time with Clarion Electronics. In 1983, he found his calling in medical-surgical sales, serving hospitals and healthcare professionals first in Louisiana, and later in Austin, Texas, where he lived and worked until retiring in 2005. After retirement, he managed his own investments, but what truly filled his days was investing in people.

To know Wes was to know someone whose life revolved around Jesus Christ. His greatest desire was not that people remember him, but that they would come to know the Savior he loved so deeply. He never viewed people as strangers for long. Whether standing in line at a grocery store, sitting beside someone on a plane, meeting a neighbor, or sharing a conversation over coffee, Wes naturally turned conversations toward eternal things. He had a rare gift of making others feel comfortable while sharing the hope of the Gospel with sincerity, humility, and compassion.

His Bible was more than a book on a shelf—it was the foundation of his life. He trusted God’s Word completely, leaned on His promises through every season, and encouraged others to do the same. His faith wasn’t reserved for Sundays; it shaped every decision he made, every friendship he cultivated, and every opportunity he had to love others well. He believed that no conversation was accidental and that every person he encountered was someone deeply loved by God.

Wes found joy in encouraging believers to grow deeper in their walk with Christ while lovingly pointing those who did not yet know Him toward the grace and mercy found only in Jesus. His life reflected the quiet confidence that comes from knowing his future was secure—not because of anything he had done, but because of Christ’s finished work on the cross. Though his family and friends grieve his absence, they do not grieve without hope, rejoicing in the assurance that Wes has heard the words he longed for all his life: “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Doris Marie Kennedy Ramseier.

He is survived by his father, John Wesley Ramseier; his brother, Timothy Lynn Ramseier (Eleanor) and nephews and niece, Benjamin John Ramseier, Randi Lee Struck, and Erik Thomas Wilkerson; and brother, Kevin Wynn Ramseier; and countless cherished friends who became family through decades of faithful love and fellowship.

While Wes will be deeply missed, those who knew him best know that if he could speak to us today, he would gently remind us not to focus on him, but on the Savior who gave him eternal life. His greatest prayer was that others would know the same peace, joy, forgiveness, and assurance that he found in his Jesus Christ. His race has been finished, his faith has become sight, and he now rests forever in the presence of the Lord he faithfully served.
