Obituary

"Arise, shine, for Thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee."  Isaiah60:1
William Kenneth Baethge's poor, feeble body passed from this life on December 13, 2020 to a rich, strong, hearty, new, heavenly body.  We will be telling "Kenny" stories about this flavorful man for years to come.
Ken was born on March 20, 1929 in Doss, Texas.  He was raised in love by his parents, Pete and Ethel Beathge and in the company of his baby sister, Vernie.  He was schooled in Quemada Valley and Harper Texas and a member of The Primitive Baptist Church.  Ken attended Sul Ross University and then served in the U. S. Army.  Following his discharge, Ken worked as a narcotics agent, a supervisor at the Celanese Plant in Bishop, Texas and operated a roofing business in California before returning to his roots in the Texas Hill Country.
Kenneth married the love of his life, Francis, on July 3,  2004.  Anytime you were around Ken, he would remind you that he was blessed with the prettiest, smartest, kindest, hardworking wife.
Ken was preceded in death by his infant brother, Charles Edward; parents, Pete and Ethel Baethge and brother in law, Harold Miller.  He is survived by his loving wife, Francis; sister, Vernie Baethge Miller;  nephew, Steve Miller (Lauren); nieces, Vicki Steward and Kelly Dizdar (Mark); nine great nieces and nephews and their spouses and 17 great grand nieces and nephews including Baby G (Gruyere) who would light up Ken's eyes and the entire nursing home with her visits.
Ken's last years were spent in the loving care of the Fredericksburg Nursing home staff with Francis often at his side.
We know Ken is harmonizing with the angels, "When we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be.  When we all see Jesus, we'll sing and shout the VICTORY!"

Because of Covid, a family memorial service will be held at a later date.
