William (Bill) Edward Price, was born October 2, 1944 in Houston, Texas to Norma Rae (Waller) and M.D. Price and passed away October 15, 2024. He had just celebrated his 80th birthday.
Bill grew up in Houston and was very active in sports, hunting, fishing, Boy Scouts and eventually earning his Eagle Scout. Upon graduating from Waltrip High School in 1963, he went on to Stephen F. Austin University, then to South Texas College and graduating from the University of Houston in 1968. From 1965 to 1971 he served in the US Air Force Reserves as an Air Police Officer. He married Gayle Bones in November of 1969 and they went on to have two kids, Michael and Tiffany.
In 1971, he started Bill Price and Associates Realtors and became very active in multiple charities. He served on the Board of Directors at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, was top fundraiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Associates in the United States for ERA-MDA. He was also a member of Pin Oak Charity Horse Show and was a member of the Harris County Sheriff's Mounted Posse.
In 1973-1974, Bill was elected to Who's Who in Texas and Who's Who in South and Southwest Texas in 1976-1977. He was "Youngest Member for Houston Board of Realtors" and was active in local and state Realtor Associations and received numerous awards.
In 1980, Bill sold his real estate company and other business interests and moved the family to Marble Falls in 1982 so the kids could grow up in a small town. He continued to work in Real Estate Brokerage and Investments, mostly in Austin. In 1990, he started a mortgage company that grew to 4 offices and eventually sold it in 2000. He volunteered as a Boy Scout Leader, became a hospital chaplain, became an ordained minister in Feb. 2001, was a volunteer on the Sheriff's Department Trauma Team and later partnered with a close friend to start a commercial flower farm called, Blumen Farms.
Having always had an interest in the human mind and spirit, he went on to get his certification in hypnotherapy, was a member of the National Dowsers Association and was a member of a local ghost hunting group.
After the passing of his wife Gayle, Bill found love again with Linda Blalock and they bought a home together in Fredericksburg. Bill and Linda married on May 27, 2023 surrounded by family in a beautiful and loving ceremony. They enjoyed daytrips, Art Walk, bird watching, fine dining, and reading.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Linda Price; son, Michael Price; daughter Tiffany Howard and husband Brian; granddaughter Faith Weaver and husband Christian; great granddaughter on the way, Haven Olivia Weaver and his little lap buddy Vanna.
Bill was preceded in death by his mother and father, Norma and MD Price and his former wife Gayle Price.
The family will be holding a private ceremony at a later time.
