William (Bill) Schuler, 87, of Fredericksburg, TX, died Sunday, December 27, 2020.

Private graveside services and interment were held at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery on Saturday, January 2. Arrangements were under the directions of the Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

The son of William and Mary Schuler, Bill was born on May 2, 1933, in Brooklyn, New York. He was a long-time resident of Houston, TX, after moving from Queens, New York.

Bill had a successful career at Highland's Insurance Company, a subsidiary of Halliburton in Houston, TX, as assistant vice president. He started his career as a systems analyst at Chase Manhattan Bank in New York.

Bill was a loving husband and a good friend to many. A devout Catholic, he attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fredericksburg. He attended Catholic schools and Bishop Loughlin Memorial, a Catholic college-preparatory high school in Brooklyn, NY.

Bill enjoyed being an active member of many model train clubs in Houston before moving to Fredericksburg.

Bill is survived by his wife, Gloria Schuler; brother-in-law, Randy Reese; nieces, nephews, and many cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, mother-in-law, Frances Lott; and recently his sister-in­ law, Bonnie Reese.
