Yvonne "Von" Bolin of Fredericksburg passed away on April 29, 2023 at the age of 93. She was born on March 26, 1930 in Baytown, TX as the only child to Marvin & Margalece Arrington Moore. Von grew up in Marlin, TX where she met and later married her high school sweetheart, Joe Riley Bolin in 1948.

Von & Joe raised their two children, Jodi & Greg, in Corpus Christi, TX where she spent time taking them to swim meets and baseball practice. She opened her first antique shop there and became one of the first dealers at the Round Top Antique Fair. In 1969, the family moved to Houston where Von continued her antique business. When Joe retired from Luby's Cafeteria in the early '70's, they moved to Fredericksburg, opening Immigrant's Landing Restaurant and The Tulip & The Bird antique shop on W. Main St. She also began her career of restoring German landmark dwellings, including what is now The Austin Street Retreat on W. Austin St., the Old Karl Lindig Haus in Stonewall and the Pedernales School Haus on Hwy 16S.

Von's talent for collecting and displaying Early American, Texas Primitives & German antiques was highlighted in many publications over the years. She loved sharing her passion & knowledge with others as a way to preserve & honor that history.

In addition to her precious antiques Von had a talent for growing beautiful geraniums & Texas native flowers. Her home and gardens were something to behold!

Von is survived by her daughter Jodi Blumberg and son Greg Bolin & wife Terri of Fredericksburg; grandchildren Jacob Bolin & wife Hope of Durham, NC and Grace Bolin of Winston-Salem NC.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her loving, devoted husband Joe.

A memorial service will be held at Fredericksburg Funeral Home at 2:00p.m. on June 4, 2023 with a reception to follow.
